Samantha V. Luna serves as the Financial Administrator & Training Specialist at The George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership (GW CEPL). In this role she oversees the Center's financial and business operations for a complex portfolio of training programs and community engagement initiatives.

In addition to financial management, Ms. Luna recently earned her certificate in e-Co Leadership Coaching from The George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership. She plans on using her executive coaching certificate to support her community to create, gather and inspire action for the future. Currently, she serves as an Peer Coaching Facilitator for the Certified Public Manager programs at GW CEPL.

 

Ms. Luna is also a certified Her Circle Leadership Coach. Her vision for the future is to end generational poverty by way of broadening the community, sharing resources, financial wellness and entrepreneurial support. Ms. Luna's dedication to her community and financial wellness is what drives her to serve in the roles that she holds.


Ms. Luna brings more than 10 years of experience in higher education and non-profit management, specializing in financial analysis, budget management, accounting, and internal controls. Previously she held a number of administrative and academic advisory positions at the University of New Mexico, supporting the administration and due diligence reviews of Title V Education Grants.

Ms. Luna graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelors in Spanish and American Studies. In May of 2020 she completed her Masters of Accountancy at the George Washington University School of Business. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering and mentoring youth in underserved communities, supporting their transition to college, as well as early professional and leadership growth.
